I totally agree. They are all bargains too. I almost bought one and I haven't a single use for one in the world!!!
P.S I bet the Op was after a PDA!!if i had known then what i know now0 -
To be honest, looking at the service offered by Medionshop on previous occasions and in the PDA/GPS situation, you'll be better off not wasting your time filling in your details on their website.
Likely they will just ignore you completely, spin stories on the phone and never fulfil your order.0 -
Wow! The £ 279.00 seems like a real bargain! What exactly does Grade B mean?! It says it has a full 12 months warranty included. It seems too good to be true! Would it be easy to add another 256MB of RAM to the laptop? If so I reckon it is a great buy.The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

Edlass,
For £279 you get an adequate machine, but for £399 you get a faster more modern processor more memory and a dvdrom/cd rewriter combo, so possibly the one I would pick.
For an extra £70 (£469) you then get a slightly bigger screen, slightly faster processor and 50% bigger hard drive.
and for £30 more than that you get twice the memory and another 10meg on the hard drive, so twice that of the £399
So the £399 and £499 seem the best buys IMHO, that is, the choice is yours as they say.

Right, so for just surfing on the settee instead of sitting at a desk you reckon the cheapest one will do?
I have the dvd writer etc on my pc and a travel dvd player so wouldn't be using the laptop for that sort of thing, nor would I be putting much on it like photos or anything.
I have a wireless connection for broadband so I could connect to the laptop using a usb thingy or put in a card? Not very techie when it comes to laptops I'm afraid.0 -
Beware that they dont automate stock levels. So there could just be 1 of each, but 1000 orders.
By now, I would imagine they would have all gone, but its worth a shot.0 -

Yes, for surfing the cheapest machine is more than adequate. And yes you could simply get a wireless pcmcia card for your laptop. This will plug into an expansion slot and you will be (practically) away....if u aren't too techy you may get some connection problems/you may not.....these will only be initial teething troubles.
An example of your PCMCIA card is here http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=152538if i had known then what i know now0 -
The cheapest one is sold out when you go to add it to basket.......thus ends conversation!0
