Intel------a Superb Helpful Mse'r.

Options
My laptop developed a fault and Acer agreed to take it back so I inundated the wonderful Intel with PMs asking him for advice. I wanted to save lots of stuff. Well, he realised just how hopeless I was so he arranged to work on my laptop with 'remote assistance' and spent most of Saturday afternoon sorting me out. I was truly amazed that someone would go to so much trouble. After all, when people help on here, at least one can click on 'thanks', but working quietly behind the scenes is surely deserving of the highest praise.
Thank you, Intel.

Just a quick post to say how nice it is to hear you praising someone for their time and efforts. I have only been registered on here since the beginning of December 05 (wow last year already hehe) but I have noticed that there is a nice community of people using this site.

So also a big shout out to Martin Lewis and the rest of you MSE's for making this place happen
  • I think Bettyr and Intel typify the community spirit on MSE.

Well done to Intel and to you Bettyr for ensuring his/her special efforts are fully recognised.

We all appreciate him. He is a shy person and doesn't like to shout about all the help he has given people. It nice to have a thread just to show him our appreciation.

    well done intel :T

You should have met him under his previous name... I still miss good ol' Skinty. Sob!

Didn't realise Intel & MrSkint were one & the same ( I think that's what Quasar is saying).
If not - a big vote of appreciation to both from me.

Thank You So Much for the wonderful sense of well being I am feeling
at this very moment, I just feel good trying to help folk out, especially
when I remember that it was not so long ago that I would of been asking
the same questions 11yrs ago.. (nearly the same ones)no wi-fi or BB back then)..

I will say that the Techie forum is the best forum in my eyes, even disagreement's
melt away quite quickly even though us "geeks" are quite headstrong on some issues.

I would also like to thank every other person who frequents this forum and gives advice
as I have learnt a great deal here from them aswell and so has Mr Skint

So I think a great big pat on the back is in order for all Techie Geeks on MSE
