Someone in another thread mentioned there may be a cheaper company/way to get a physical second line, rather than paying BT £120 for installation

Does anybody know? Got any tips/links etc?

Well you wont find anyone cheaper than around £100-110 for line installation.

Phone Co-Op do offer installation with them - link

However you'll be tied to a minimum contract with them & to be honest what I would be looking at is not looking at providers who offer the cheapest installation but calculate over 12 months roughly how much the bills would be due to call charges. Whilst the Phone Co-Op offer cheap installation their call charges are not the cheapest around.

If you want to jump in to bed with TalkTalk etc, your best bet is to get Madasafish to install a line for £115 then leave after 1 month without penalty.

If your happy on to commit to BT for 18 months it will cost you approx £65 for a new line installation.

OR Virgin Media (if you can get it) can probably do it cheaper. But it does limit your override options etc.

Surely to get Madasafish Line Rental you have to take a 12 month broadband contract.
