Technically you're not supposed to use it. Tho most SAs will allow you to when you are collecting points, but personally if I had (for example) a lady customer wanting to redeem points on "Mr so and so's" card I wouldn't allow it even if she says he is her husband. I hope you all understand why?

I do, and thanks :) Can I ask another quick question that yourself or someone else might be able to answer regarding using cards and AC's online?

I use cash but oh uses his debit or credit card (can't remember which is which this early in the morning lol) but he only received his AC last week, and as I was shopping online, it seemed to make more sense if he put the order in. (He's never ordered online before).

I'm not sure why (maybe because apart from my pin number, which I've forgotten :o our details on credit/debit card are the same) but it wouldn't let him use the promotion codes as it said they weren't valid, or had been used. Should he ring up and explain?

    TIA :)

They should be like Nectar cards where you can have 2 cards for one account.
Yes, but then they should also show ALL the offers on the ACMs.
I did finally get a card a couple of months ago. To start with it didn't show any offers at all. Now it does show offers, but the "girls" ones, whereas my bf's card shows the "mens" ones.
If we could have two cards for one account and ALL the offers were shown, we would definitely go that way instead!
(I don't use my card for collecting points, because we (that is I) had already collected a lot of points on bf's card, and was saving for a camera.

Morning everyone. A quick question please?

Were the ACM's only printing a few offers out yesterday, or was it just ours? TIA.

Our local ones only offered a very few, and not very interesting;) offers yesterday and it was the same at all five Boots stores I visited (spread across Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey because I live on the borders of all three areas)....so it appears it may have been a national thing yesterday.

Thanks hesjane :) When I went to put my AC in the machine, what looked like an offer flashed up for a second or two, then disappeared. It was for the P&P I think  It looked like the front page of the Mother's Day leaflet  It probably means nothing lol.

I got all excited for oh because he was using his ac for the 1st time (machines were down the last time he tried) and no different offers for him :D I expected to see a few offers for men, but they were all unisex type of offers. :)

  • The offers were rubbish yesterday on the ACM...only had 1 total spend one and then the others which you usually just skip (eg opticians, travel insurance etc) lol

I did notice that the ACMs had a pin control pad thing (like the ones we use for chip and pin)...are we to get pins for our cards?

Hiya! No, no luck with the £20 P&P set - tried Gloucester but they were all out of stock, I was so excited as I walked into the shop, feeling all hopeful!. I might try ringing a couple of other stores in the morning, but apart from that I think I'll have to admit defeat......:(
    Thanks for asking, anyway!

If anyone has Clares contact No call her to post on the thread as I have called Chelt & they have 7 sets. They have put 2 aside for 1.5hrs & I am happy to collect IF she def wants them but if not & I can't get a refund can't chance being out of pocket.

Hi super keen money saver - no unfortunately not for PINs, the SAs thought that this was to manually input your AC number should the automatic reader not work.

    morning all! just a quick question:-(well - in a long-winded way!!)

*if i exchange a product (without a receipt) would I stil get extra 'product promotion' points? eg return something in exchange for a 'soap&glory' - could I use the '200 points wyb any S&G product coupon??/any coupons??/atm offers??........would i get given those extra points?? - can i get the receipt validated so that they can be added on later??

With an exchange is it wise to give them your card or not?? do they take points off when you exchange.....do they add points when you exchange??

    thanks for any help!!XX

If you give them your card on an exchange without a receipt you will get the net points so the points on the new item minus the points on the item you took back. The offer points from the acm for total spend will only work on the net total as well . I can't see any reason why you shouldn't get the 200 products points . I don't think they validate the coupon points as well and have been told they can't add these at a later date.
  • Morning all,

Just to let everyone know that i have had to move the common questions to post 2 as i kept running out of characters when updating so thought this would be a better idea.

On another note St James @ Edinburgh have the new mag, went in yesterday and took 4 to the till to be scanned.
