    I was wondering about getting THIS ONE from Maplins as my laptop keeps freezing , is it any good does anyone know?

    Sheel... are you SURE your laptop is freezing due to overheating and not because of memory or hardware conflicts etc...

    Anyway ye, the maplins one seems good :)

  • Are many people experiencing the same thing?

    This laptop's been going crazy tonight and haven't checked Sheel's link yet, (will do in a second though! :)) but should laptop's get so hot that they can't be used on a lap? Or even a tray on a lap? :confused:

    Has been warm tonite, yes mines a little warm mind you I always promised myself to get one.

    Put it this way, circulation is quite high on a PC users agenda, a laptop
    even more so, if I spent £30 by getting a cooling pad and it saved me
    £90 because of hardware failure then YES a blooming good investment.

    Do they actually work... i mean in actually helping keep the laptop cool? or is it just a fancy gizmo?

    They do actually work, a mate of mine has got one and his lappy
    fan hardly comes on.
