As Opera is celebrating today, just downloaded it and used the registration key to stop the ad's. Am wondering what you prefer? Actually I find it OK but still use FIrefox.
Is opera as secure as FF they claim it to be the most secure browser. I guess they would say that tho. Would you be happy to do your banking using opera?

Opera is faster by a bit and slightly safer, but I do think FF is more user friendly and anyway if you use good housekeeping, i.e Antivirus, Firewall, Washer, Pop Up Blocker, etc etc the list can go on.
There is no real debate between any Browser if the above housekeeping is applied
as 99.9% of the argument is down to personal preference.
And wether to dislike or like any one companies marketing tactics.0 -
Opera also has an extra security certificate confirmation in the address bar, to confirm that you're on the secure site you're supposed to be.
Double click on it to obtain more info.
Also, you can clear your entire browsing history in just two clicks. Useful for protecting sensitive info.
I also like the fact that I can start where I left off in Opera, even if I shut off the computer.0 -

And if your PC ever crashes with Opera open all the pages you had open are still open when you get back.
I love opera and wouldn't switch cos I'm used to it. Opening pages in the background with the middle mouse button is a tremendous timesaver - I middle click all the threads I want to read then scroll by them one by one closing them as I go - easy.0 -

I've got a plugin for FF if anyone's interested in being able to do this, it's called SessionSaver and you can get it HERE.0
