Yes indeed - IS there 'anything else moneysaving'..?

Being an ardent economiser, I've been looking for the 'moneysaving suggestions' unified forum/thread on this site - and, as far as I can tell, there isn't one.
The scope for such a matter appears to be spread over all the fora. Maybe I'm wrong and someone can point me in the right direction but, if not, it would appear to be a glaring omission from MSE.
I'd love to make such a forum a daily stopping place to see what new ideas there are around but as things stand I would need to spend too much of my time here clicking!
Mods or whoever, could this be given some consideration, please?

You could always subscribe to the RSS feeds, depending you which one you select, you can quickly see all new subjects, or just ones in the areas you're interested in.Conjugating the verb 'to be":

The forums are a supplement. Most of the key data comes from the weekly Emails ... and the associated discussion threads with each article. And the main site is the major repository for articles - divided by the 'tabs' you see above.
'Tell me what I want to know' ... is a bit Utopian? As it depends on the individual. There's no easy one-stop shop / thread, otherwise it would be an administrative nightmare both to service and to navigate.
If 'economiser' is your main forte ... have a look at the makeover article which has a bit of breadth?

..... other than that, you have to dig around a bit yourself;)If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
I don't agree.
Yes, precisely, there has to be room in these forums for a 'one stop shop' as regards latest suggestions in all areas.
I'm quite happy with this being, say, a mods-operated forum with no direct posting access by ordinary members.
I can't see that the mods on this site actually do much. They could be put to use in selecting the best ideas as they arrive on the other fora and copying them to the new one.
The 'digging around a bit' is what's proving a 'nightmare', actually. I'm sure there must be lots of brilliant ideas knocking about which most members don't have the time to notice.0 -
Hi Jolanta
That's exactly what the weekly email is about, giving you all the latest top articles and deals. If you don't already get it you can add yourself to the distribution list at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/tips. How rude!
MSE does not have mods. It has an editorial team who do contribute to the forum, but their primary responsibilities lie with the main MSE pages (see the links at the top of the page). MSE also has an Abuse team, who deal with posts that do not follow board rules, and Boardguides, who keep threads on topic, and guide newer members to the information that they need.
I agree with the comments made by others. The weekly newsletter highlights the best offers, campaigns and ideas from the MSE forums and from financially related news. If you need help with something in particular, the Search function is excellent at narrowing down results.
You would be surprised how satisfying it is to actually search out the information yourself!Gone ... or have I?0 -

We don't need mods, we are largely well behaved on here.
As for a "mod" gathering all the posts you would like and putting them in one place for you, if you can't be bothered to read all the posts why should you expect someone else to do it for you?
Even if they did do it, you'd probably complain it had tips to save money in the garden when you wanted to save money shopping.0 -
Well, I think this was a perfectly reasonable suggestion to fill in what appears to be an obvious lack in what is otherwise a splendid site.
If nobody wishes to take notice, too bad. At least I've pointed it out.0 -
Jolanta, you seem to have missed what everybody is saying! So, to summarise:
* The weekly highlights are in the weekly newsletter.
* If there is something in particular that you are looking for, use the Search function.Gone ... or have I?0
