Er... none so far that I've seen while indexing older threads.
You might have to wait until the day shift comes on for more help with this. Hmmm - have a pair of ammo boots in the garage, but they don't need re-heeling
Stilettos? ....... I remember the days when I used to regularly wear heels and skirts too. Now I find the jeans and trainer look easier for minding children. However, thanks for the post. I'd never have thought to look in woolies to repair stilettos (I still have some, somewhere....)0 -

yes, i've had that jeans and trainers look for a good while, and it is still my default setting. ok, maybe joggys and trainers. but they're not high stilettos, more the lowish kind. anyway, got them in TKMaxx, and they are leather and italian, so worth getting fixed.0 -

btw, can i ask a silly question? how do youall get your wee pictures (avatars?) beside yr name? and where do you get them from? i feel i am lacking ms personality without one!0 -
Easy peasy - which ALL questions are when you know the answer.
At the bottom of our "Welcome" sticky (which is at the top of the Old Style forum listing) are a number of direct links to a brilliant set of explanations and guides by sra on how to do things.
The picture by people's names is called an avatar and you get detailed instructions on how to find one and how to add one right there.
To make life even easier for you - you just have to click on the blue "Welcome" in my signature belowHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. If you go to a well known (Timpsons?) high street chain........you're bound to pay through the nose for shoe repairs.
I go to a back street cobbler for mine. It's one of those cluttered and dusty shops with shoes piled high in a chaotic jumble............but the service is first class and the prices are dirt cheap.
My local cobbler also tackles repairs on leather briefcases and handbags too.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -
This isn't exactly shoe repair, but I've recently bought leather insoles for the first time (from Woolworths, they were cheap) and they are wonderful. None of that curling up you get with normal insoles, they have kind of moulded to the shoe and revived my walking boots and another well-loved pair of boots.0
