Smartening up heels on shoes

Hi,

Has anyone got any tips for the heels of some much loved boots where the colour has been worn away by driving? Don't want to throw them away, as they're good apart from this.

They're the 'painted' kind, rather than fabric covered - and now have a big white mark on a black heel. Anyone tried anything that is reasonably hard wearing?

    Hiya Marsie,

I'm sure you can buy some heel paint stuff for that at shoes shops. comes in a little pot with a small brush/applicator thing

If that fails would nail varnish be any good :-/

  • Silly question but I've dug my boots out for winter and the heels are scuffed from driving. Tried Black marker pen but it looks a bit blue and has rubbed off after a couple of days. I don't want to throw the boots out so have you got any ideas?

Are the boots leather? Try polishing them, you might be able to stain the heels with layers of polish.

I've used black ink and a paint brush, works really well and black nail varnish too. My local heal bar will also spray them for £1 might be worth asking if you have one nearby.
