Has anyone dealt with https://www.bestpricedbrands.co.uk ?
I am interested in a new digi camera from there, but have never heard of them before. Are they genuine and trustworthy?
Cheers.

I just found some info on these people after a bit of searching.
Do not buy from them, they are based in the us and are using the london us embassy as their address!
They also quote 1-2 day delivery, but it takes around 2 weeks (possibly delivered from the us?)0 -
Use bestpricedbrands at your own risk!
I ordered a camera from them on 8-May. They debited my credit card on 8-May. They have not despatched it yet (18-May). They have not responded to any of the emails that I have sent them. They do not publish a telephone number on their very slow web site.0 -
I too am looking for a camera and stumbled across the website in question. Thought I'd do some digging round and I'm glad I did.
Check out the following url...

Looks like everyone is agreed that bestpricedbrands is bogus.0 -

I ordered a PS3 80Gb from them, it was a great price, it came within 2 weeks. After I had ordered it I found forums with people who had bad experiences with them, so i was naturally worried. I had read about things coming from the US without UK power plugs etc.. I received the console, which was for my son, I checked the box and I had a UK power plug, so far so good. I gave the console to my son for his birthday with some new games, only to discover that despite Bestpricedbrands claiming that they are wholly compatible with the UK, none of his PS2 games will work on it because it is a US version PS3 that operates the NTSC format and Europe uses the PAL format.
I am still waiting to hear from them how they intend to resolve this. I don't hold out much hope.
They should not be able to register as a .co.uk company. Aparently they have given their UK address as the US Embassy and they are based in Pasedena!!!
BEWARE DON'T GO NEAR THEM!!!!!!!
Hi sorry to hear about your PS3.
I bought ours from PC world. I was just wondering if you had done the updates available, as we couldn't play any ps2 games until we had done the updates through the internet (wireless box). This probably isn't the case with you but is worth looking into if the updates haven't been done.
I ordered a camera from them a while back and after a week heard nothing and as I had paid through paypal managed to get an instant refund.

They're breaking UK law from what I can see as they have not listed a physical address as they're required to do!0

I ordered a Sony DSC-T70 silver camera and recieved a white one. On contcting so-called customer support, I was told they had run out of silver, but a letter should have been included to explain this and a free memory card included. I replied to say we did receive the letter and wished to return it. I was told I would an UPS returns form would be sent by e-mail within 24-48 hours. I'm still waiting a week later. We have sent 4 further e-mails, with only an auto reply each time. By reading on this site now I find out it is an American company blatently claimimg to be a UK based company and with no address or telephone number. We are at our wits end and feel like complete fools and as if we have been mugged. Does anyone have a contact number or address for them. Is it even legal what they are doing. Should search engines regulate their content? I'll let you know if I get any joy, but after reading other peoples expierence I won't be holding my breath.
BUYER BEWARE OF BESTPRICEDBRANDS.CO.UK0 -
Wow - I tried to find some reviews of this company before I ordered my TZ3 camera and couldn't find any - looks like I was lucky as it turned up a week later - admitedly sent from the US and works great. I was impressed as it was delivered by UPS and I was sent the tracking number which allowed me to see where it was and when it would be delivered - plus it was the cheapest I could find anywhere - now my Dad wants one - but I don't know whether to use them again after reading the above....0

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
