Does anyone have any tried and tested suggestions for getting the remains of pigeon droppings off my car soft top? I've cleaned them off in the normal way but there's still a white mark showing in the area.
I tried Renovo and although it did a good job with general muck you could still see slight marks. I spoke to a couple of garages and got the impression they just blasted the hood with a pressure washer!, i suppose its the lining thats the waterproof bit so it would probably be ok.
For Plastic windows use Meguiars plastic cleaner, its great.

Tesco's have an insect remover, a pink liquid in a squirty bottle, think it's 49p at moment, and that says it can be used to remove bird lime. It however lists a whole load of precautions and to test an inconspicuous area etc.

A shotgun???? I can't believe you posted that, that's outrageous! You can't do things like that, I find that offensive and totally out of order.
You should use an air rifle, far better outside your house, you won't upset the neighbours!
Anyone know how to keep the infernal creatures away in the first place? The paintwork on my beloved Jaguar has been ruined by birds, in particular pigeons who roost nearby. I can't chop the tree down, because it is huuuuge and doesn't belong to me, and I have nowhere else to park. I cover the car at night, but guarantee if I nip home for half an hour, park outside, some bird will decorate it.
I know where your coming from!! I struggled but the best info/products are here: Haartz Renovo BSR!! Advise

A friend of mine has now also recommended 'Autoglym Cabriolet Fabric Hood Cleaner' which he has used successfully on his Mazda MX5
