Alot has been said of the £15 per night deals at Travelodge.Even better now
a member has also posted that https://www.quidco.com are giving cashback.Great!http://www.quidco.com/travelodge/ always clear your cookies and register/login if you go for cashback

I must admit I like them and if you book early, you should be onto a winner. It's
not uncommon for my family to stay in a few over the summer months as we travel over the country.Wow, have you seen they are in Spain now?Trip advisor will be busy. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Search?where=body&returnTo=&geo=1&pid=214&SearchTeaser=%28your+destination%2C+hotel+or+attraction%29&q=travelodge

Focusing back at the BBC Watchdog programme about Travelodge turning away customers who had advanced booked.
Do you think this is still going on?

Have you a had a good or bad experience when you stayed at Travelodge.
Maybe there was a late night disco nearby you didn't know about. What about a fault to a door that doesn't close properly.Something we found quite common at some we stayed at.Doors need trimming before they start to warp
Maybe there's a car parking problem especially in the evening.Or if your vehicle was targetted in their car park.

Any ghost stories?

Maybe you can include the room number, location and approx date.

Did you complain and get a room change?

Intrestingly if you complained and another member posted who stayed after you in the same room and hotel,it would look a little strange if the repair wasn't carried out for weeks or even months.

Dust under the bed is a common one and cobwebs on the ceilings.

A room at Stoke Talke had a bad soil stench back in July.Forgot the number.
Got a room change to a front door that didn't close properly.

On the whole we are happy with the hotels and would give them 8 out of 10
and for the price it's a bonus. But I still would expect the service.

  • I know this post began over a year ago but thought my experience of Travelodge a couple of weeks ago would raise a laugh.....

After a disappointing introduction to camping to my 4 and a half year old daughter (due to the weather) in response to a met office weather warning for yet more rain in Cornwall we decided to set off home. The decision was only made at tea time so by the time we'd got the tent and gear down and packed into the car it was 9pm and started on our 3 and a half hour journey home. An hour and a half into the journey I can't keep my eyes open so the safe option was to find a Travelodge.....Tiverton perfect.

Oh, the thought of a lovely hot shower and loo right on hand - bliss!

In the night the weather warning proved right on the money...... it lashed it down but we woke to beautiful sunshine (typical!) but was glad not to be under canvas in the monsoon during the night.

Problem - the Travelodge's hot water tank burst in the night - water was pouring down the stairs like a waterfall, buckets everywhere. So much for the hot shower!

After enquiring what they were to do for me by way of some money back for the lack of full facilties I expected perhaps a bit of money back, maybe 50% if I was lucky....nope....

    .......FULL REFUND! :T

They were helpful and friendly and accommodating to me even though I turned up on their front door so late without a reservation and it didn't cost me a penny and they let me use their phone to make a quick phone call cos I couldn't get a signal for my mobile phone. Thanks Travelodge. I'd happily recommend them anytime.

They don't deal with Quidco any more. Try TopCashBack.
