Remember guys that the national trust is a charity!

A lot of their staff are volunteers and any surplus they make is ploughed back into restoring and maintaining our historic buildings.

I know we all like a bargain, but if you can afford the £7 entry fee and lunch for a child then please pay it - this is not a profit making commercial organisation.

Smile :), it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

But what you save on entrance fees you can make up for by spending in the shop.

Just to say that I have noticed some posters in railway stations that say 2 for the price on 1 entry in National Trust properties if you travel by train (no need to buy magazine) - worth exploring with your local BR station!
