Just remortgaged with them and it took just under a month from start to finish. Very good service. Just wanted to point that out as I know some ppl have had reservations with this company.

I have also just completed (1st May from Coventry Building Society) absolutely no problems what so ever. Excellent online application form etc. checked off as each process is completed by ING (survey, ID check etc) so you can see how it is progressing. Their Call centre have always be helpful although only had to speak to them 3 times.
It was completely stress and fee free; phew what a relief!!!
Also see here for further ING info and comments.

Ditto!
1st May from Coventry BS - smooth and painless - didn't even have to speak to call centre...0 -
Me too, Just switched from Direct Line. Pain free, no hassle, all sorted within 4 weeks. Excellent service - just hope the rate doesn't start creeping up!0

Their rate is 5.39% (5.5% apr) no fees for remortgage and if buying the valuation is refunded on completion other wise there are no fees to join or leave. Great! However, their mortgage info says that it will follow the Bank of England rate guranteed at no more than 0.9% and they will raise their rate on the 1st of the month following the rate rise. They have not strickly kept to this over the last few months presumably to get more business, even so, the rate considering there are absolutly no fees to remortgage are easy to cope with if you want the flexability.0 -

"My completion with ING was on 2nd April. I received a letter on 7th April, dated the 2nd, saying that completion had happened. And today, another letter, dated 4th April, giving details of payments etc, together with my PIN in a letter dated 9th! Don't know where all these letters had been lurking...!
I wish that everything had arrived much more quickly as it was frustrating not to be able to check what was happening online since about 29th March.
At least it's all sorted now! "
How many mortgages have you got with ING??? Lol!0 -
Cheek!! You do read these forums carefully don't you!!
Everything did go very smoothly with the remortgaging - I just didn't have the PIN quite as quickly as I had expected.0 -
My switch over went extremely smoothly and I was very please all around.
I did phone up though about 5th May because I was expecting my PIN to arrive straight away. I had received a letter on 2nd May confirming the switch had occured on 1st May and advising me a PIN would follow.
I believe the reason access (logon facility) is not provided immediately (my mortgage started on 1st May and I received the PIN on 10th May; period included bank holiday) is to avoid any computer system errors occurring that could interfere with a smooth implementation during the switch and just after.
I understand even the call centre cannot get access until it has settled down.
I think this is a good idea if it is the reason. My experience of their online systems has been great and if they believe the best way to maintain the interity of the account is to lock it while its in transition thats fine by me.0 -
I agree with you again DoshSaver! I think that we have had very similar experiences remortgaging from CoventryBS to ING. I'm keeping a close eye on the ING rate now after today's base rate increase...0
