Thanks to mcbindy for mentioning this.
Primus, via USwitch.com*, are doing two offers as follows:-
Primus Talk 1 - Inclusive Evening & Weekend geographical calls
Inclusive evening & weekend calls for £2.49 per month but with a £5 loyalty bonus paid in quarterly installments.
This equates to getting paid £2.51 per month (after cashback).
Primus Talk 2 - All-Inclusive geographical calls
All-inclusive geographical calls for £7.99 per month but with a £10 loyalty bonus paid in quarterly installments.
This equates to getting paid £2.01 per month (after cashback).
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is subject to a minimum term contract of 12months and you have to make at least one chargable call per month (ie outside any inclusive plan)
IT IS NOT VERY CLEAR FROM THE USWITCH WEBSITE IF THE £5 (AND £10 RESPECTIVELY) LOYALTY BONUS IS THE MONTHLY EQUIVALENT OR THE QUARTERLY EQUIVALENT! In other words do you get every three months £5 or £15 (3x£5) for the Primus Plan 1 and do you get every three months £10 or £30 (3x£10) for the Primus Plan 2? Perhaps MSE can double-check this with Primus?

22. Primus Loyalty Bonus Terms & Conditions
22.1 This loyalty bonus programme is available to new Primus Talk Option 1 and 2 customers and is paid quarterly only upon meeting the following criteria:
22.1.1 Customers can only receive one quarterly bonus for each account in their name. For the avoidance of doubt customers who register more than one line will only receive one quarterly call credit for the account.
22.1.2 The new customer must still be switched to Primus on Carrier Pre Selection All Calls option, when the call credit is provided on the quarterly bill.
22.1.3 The call credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. If the customer cancels the account, any credit in the account has no cash value. Primus Telecommunications Ltd. Reserve the right to withdraw this loyalty bonus programme at any time.
22.1.4 New post-paid customers must make at least one call outside the inclusive calls for each month of the plan.
22.1.5 Plan is based on customers taking a 12 month contract with Primus for the supply of telephone calls via Carrier Pre Selection. Customers leaving prior to the fulfilment of their contract will not receive the bonus for that quarter and must pay for any remainding monthly fixed charges for their calls package. The Bonus is payable for the first 12 months only.

I have just informed MSE (just in case it wasn't discovered before the next email is sent). I've also asked if it was possible to get confirmation on the actual amount that is paid every three months. Is it £5 or £15 (3x£5) for those taking Plan 1, etc....0

I've received a PDF file stating that it's only £1.49 per month for this package??? I dont know how to upload this onto the forum but the information is as follows:
Primus talk 1 - £1.49 per month
£5.00 quarterly loyalty bonus(not monthly as stated above)
Free evening and weekend calls up to 60 mins
Daytime calls 1.4p per minute.
All the above information from the post seems correct.
Still getting paid for having this package however not as much as the older package they were offering.
You would be advised to phone the call centre in Glasgow on 0800 036 0094 for £1.49 rather than pay £2.49 on Uswitch???0 -
Is it clear if its only £5 paid quarterly or £15 (3x£5). If its only £5 then you get cash back of just 17p each month (53p per quarter). (1). Doing so (rather than accessing the Uswitch site by clicking on the MSE - starred - link above means no referral fee for this site;
(2). Doing so (rather than accessing the Uswitch site by clicking a referral link on Quidco) means no £16 cashback.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
