Hi
My 5 year old son spilt some of his Blackberry crumble (freshly picked and free local berries!) on one of our new dining room chairs. It's a woven cotton seat. Any ideas on how best to remove the stain?

aww typical isnt it never mind
spray it with some vinegar (white) leave for a few mins and blot, keep doing that till it lifts off
should do the trick
try a bit of vinegar on the material under the seat first0 -

now pick up child place in bin liner with head sticking out, tie neck with jaunty bow, and the chairs will stay pristine for a long time.
glad it worked ;D0 -

Happy to report this also works on raspberry stains.
I got a heavy stain on the wrist of my new cream long sleeve t-shirt. I soaked the stained bit in distilled vinegar - you could see the stain dissolving really quickly. I dabbed a bit of fairy liquid on it to finish it off before putting it in the wash.
You'd never know I'd been a clumsy muppet. :beer:Good, clean fun....MFW #11 2015 £7657 / £88800 -
Fresh blackberries already? I know they are getting earlier each year but that is going some! Our bushes are just now covered with flowers (with some still to come out). No picking up our way until at least the end of July. Lucky you.Taking control, slowly.:rotfl: :rotfl:0

Think you've missed that this is a merged thread. The original was started August 2004!!:D The seasons aren't that far out!:rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

Lmao!
OK, so I'm not that OS. I confess....I bought a packet of raspberries as I was unable to wait for my raspberries to ripen....Good, clean fun....MFW #11 2015 £7657 / £88800 -
I spent a couple of hours picking blackberries this afternoon, and because I had so many I stewed some. Trying to get the lid on the bowl, I spilt them all over my tumble drier. I'm not too worried about that, or the new sheet which got splashed because that's dark brown, or the floor which was off white and may now need to be painted pink ... but I am a bit sad about my new pink trousers, which I was wearing at the time and which got a bit splashed!
Because it's so late (or early, depending on which way you look at it), I have just put them to soak in cold water and I'm hoping for the best. Any tips if that doesn't do the trick? Blackberry's not really my colour ... and I know DH was trying to help when he said at least it was the right colour, but it's not! :sad:Signature removed for peace of mind0
