We usually just use any brand of moisturiser.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Aloe vera gel is the absolute best for sunburn. If you keep an eye on Holland & Barrett they often have it reduced to half price. It's pretty good as a moisturiser too - it feels a bit thin compared to the usual creamy moisturisers, but it is a treat your skin will love.0

Clearly sunburn should be avoided!!
Dab on cooled tea - brilliant as an "after sun" - then just el cheapo moisturiser.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hi, you can get liquid aloe vera. If you took a squirt bottle and made a concoction of aloe vera and water, would this not work? Just a thought.0

Aloe Vera plant grows in the Canary Islands and you can buy liquid cheaply there.0

Superdrug do an Aloe Vera moisturiser - I went to buy some in Dec when we went on our hols and it was only £1 a bottle. Its their own make and was fab.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0

Avon aftersun spray is pretty good and they often have their sun products on BOGOF0

I spotted on one of the other forums that Tesco are selling sun products at half-price atm, so maybe worth a look there?
Edit: Thought I'd check it out for you but I can't see any half-price offers at Tesco in my area, but they do have a 400ml aftersun lotion (own brand) for £2.64 if that's any help. Not sure how it compares price-wise to other brands as I never buy it"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Definitely spend your money on prevention. Buy a higher SPF than you think you need. It doesn't prevent you getting a tan and, in fact, will produce a longer lasting tan.
After sun is just moisturiser. But remember, that no moisturiser can replace what you've "burned out" of your natural skinWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0
