I need some advice!

I phoned my credit card company to explain that i am have some financial difficulties. I have just had a baby and am struggling to pay the minimum amount.
I explained this and spoke to a man who was not interested in listening to my situation, all he wanted was a payment from me, i explained that i havent got any money to pay him and he was rude and spoke over me, i asked to speak to the supervisor and he said that he could deal with my situation, after me explaining again that i couldnt afford a payment he again spoke over me so i demanded to speak to the supervisor who then referred me to another department.
I spoke to a women who instantly had an attitude as soon as she came on to the phone, she asked me why i couldnt afford a payment, i again explained my situation and she asked whether i thought about this during my pregnancy, i said no, she then said that it was my own fault because i got pregnant and i should have thought about the consiquences. I at that point got a bit angry and said that i fell pregnant and a termination was out of the question, and she then said again, that it is my fault! I said to her that i cant change the past and im phoning to ask for help today and i think that she was way out of order for saying that and that i would like to speak to someone else as i found her very rude, she then said that she will hang up on me, which is what she should do.
I feel very upset, victimised and embarrassed about this and i was wondering if there was anything i can do
Please help, i feel reluctant to make any payments now

You can lodge a complaint with the card companies to begin with - you'll need the date and time of your call and the names of the people you spoke to. I'd call them up now and ask them to send you a copy of the conversation that's recorded for training and quality purposes.

Meanwhile, you should look at http://www.cccs.co.uk/

And look at posting on the DFW board where you'll be able to get specific support while you're helping to sort things out http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=76

Given your change in circumstances, I'd say it's unlikely (but not impossible) that you'll get a card with lower minimum payments to help you out.

That is utterly shocking. Surely the woman on the phone could have suggested the implant or a coil? :(

What a useful contribution! the lady has been insulted for having a baby and is asking for help and you make a comment like that?! nice!!

I agree with Cannyjock, I hope you get something sorted, thats disgraceful the way she spoke to you.
