using sky dish for freeview?

We have sky plus and were using our old box connected to the sky dish to get bbc, itv and channel 5 in another room. The old sky box is broken now. We don't have an outside aerial and don't want to pay a monthly subs to get sky in another room.
What do we need to buy that will hook up to the sky dish to get freeview in the other room?

You just plug in the leads from your dish that formerly went to your Sky+ box, switch it on and you're up and running.
Don't forget to cancel your Sky subscription and stop the Direct Debit.

without sounding cheeky you could hook up a sky box. A lot of people like yourself have upgraded to sky plus after the initial contract and have the old box gathering dust in the cupboard. You can often pick one up from freecycle.
There are other posts on here regarding it. You can NOT get freeview on this but you can get Freesat and SKY will give you a card for a 1 off fee or you can use your old card, presumably you have a new card for the Sky+, just call sky and say you want the freesat package on your old card and it should be free.

Just get a used Sky receiver from a Car Boot etc. and plug it in, it will still work without a card, albeit with reduced channels.0

We have our daughters old Sky+ box. Pay Sky just under £10 a month to record, pause and use other Sky+ features on Freesat. Well worth it IMO.
You can pick up an almost new Sky box on Ebay for about £20 incl. postage, double for a Sky+ with 80gb.0
