Blanked by Amex

I applied for an American Express card via the webite. The final screen during the application said that they would contact me with the decision. This was over a week ago and I have heard nothing! No emails and nothing in the post. Anyone else applied latley???

  • Amex takes longer than a week to process applications. I'd give it another 10 days. They normally write to you rather than email

I never heard anything after applying online for my Amex card. About two weeks later it arrived in the post, and on that same day I got a phone call from them welcoming me to Amex.

They aren't great on the upfront approval confirmation, but I have to say that thereafter they are great to contact - the number is a normal regional number rather than 0845 or similar, and there are actually real people at the other end. So give them a few more days, is my suggestion. :)

    Hi

Why not give them a call?

Depending on what card you have applied for:

    http://www212.americanexpress.com/dsmlive/dsm/int/gb/en/personal/support24by7/contactus_pr.do?vgnextoid=2e8c3e37ad444110VgnVCM100000cef4ad94RCRD

I've called them before and they were more than happy to let me know my application result - IMO Amex have excellent customer service.

    Good luck

I got an on screen confiormation and an email confirmation.

In my experience, most people who don't get emails have have it kicked out by a spam filter.
