HSBC to HSBC

Hey,

i made a transfer from my hsbc online banking to my friends HSBC account about 1pm for £6000 payment was debited from my account instant and it said the money will be in the receiving account immediately but the money went in his account instantaly but its not in available balance just on account balance.?

    Is there a limit as to FP by HSBC?

    Could take the same amount of time as a BACS payment to clear.

    However, I don't think internal HSBC transfers go via the Faster Payments system. HSBC have been doing 'instant' transfers between HSBC/First Direct accounts for much longer than FPS has been around..
