Where to get Packaging boxes ?

I ran out of the boxes I have, and went to poundland and bought the last 2 they had. I need boxes to place items with weights between 1kg and 7kg (size is around 30cmx30cmx30cm). Any hints where to find boxes with similar sizes for cheap ?

  • Size of boxes I have found to be perfect for my items is 17.5cmX27cmX20cm. Anybody knows where I can get these ?

Daft as it may sound have you tried ebay? I buy quite a bit of my packaging material from several sellers on there. The last lot I bought was from a company called JWS (I think)

JWS Packaging. I get my bubble wrap from them, fast delivery and although they're not the cheapest (but only by a few pence) I use them all the time. I tried the cheapest seller and it took ages to arrive so I've gone back to JWS.

Local packaging companies. I tend to go and do a big shop once a year for bubblewrap, envelopes, boxes and tape.

I tried to start a business years ago supplying bags and wrapping paper to local shops. At the time the big supplier around Liverpool was Richmond paper company.

+1 for JWS, and they do 12x12x12 singlewall boxes on a 48hr delivery.

Defendapak are also worth looking at.

I've also found it is not worth scrimping a few pence on lower priced bubblewrap. The bubbles do not tend to be well sealed, and offers no more protection than a bit of clingfilm!

I use wine, and other small boxes from the local supermarket and get bubble wrap from a local tv shop.

I have a good supply of A4 brown envelopes from my weekly mail survey test items.

Selotape & parcel tape I get from the local £ shop.

I recycle clean packaging as much as possible - and state this in my listings - to help keep p&p costs down.
  • HAve you tried your local self-store companies?
