What's my best bet now?

Hi, hope it's ok to start a new thread for this question, not sure what is best to do next.
I put in a crequest about a year ago for my credit card statements, then wrote to them requesting charges of about £600 back (including interest). I sent it recorded delivery and I know it was recived but they didn't reply.
Then things went a bit wrong for me and I didn't have time to follow it up. Completely forgot about it until September this year when I sent a second letter, referring to my previous letter.
I have not had any reply to this letter either. At the same time I sent a letter for my husband, to the same company (Barclaycard). Again he did not receive a written reply, but he phoned them up for a settlement figure to find that they had indeed refunded all of his charges. However, my account balance still stands at the same amount it was before.
What is my best bet now? Should I threaten it to go to court, or take the Financial Ombudsman route?
Many thanks.
(Also very annoyed as my husband actually left me earlier this year, so now I've done him a major favour getting most of his debt written off for him, and yet I'm still left with all of mine - which he mostly ran up! Tut)
