I'm struggling with MSE at the moment so I don't know if this link will work, but it should link to a thread about paying tax on earnings:

The moment you buy something to sell on you are trading and there are vigilante buyers who will seek out sellers wrongly registered just to buy and cause a problem.

You should read the community boards sometimes, but never ever dare post anything there unless you use a posting ID, some fo the stuff makes your hair curl.

You have to be careful with mutual agreements as if they tick the wrong box. You don't get the agreement then you are scuppered as you will lose your FVFs and be unable to open a NPB dispute. If you are going to cancel the sale that way make sure you spell out in simple terms what they need to do. Its worth looking the buyers history just to see how many sales have been cancelled if they have a lot on there record I would be tempted to go the NPB route

There isn't a wrong box, it's either yes, or another screen with yes at the end of it. Buyer doen't get a lot of choice if a seller decides to cancel.

Going back to the OP, using a BIN with immediate payment would prevent this problem in the future.

A second ebay account, which doesn't buy or sell. You only use it for posting in the forums.

Which is why the PS forums are better if you want a decent response to your questions or whatever, people can't just post crap because they've got a lot to lose if they annoy someone.
Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

What I meant if they don't agree to a mutual you cannot open a NPB dispute therefore you will lose your final value fees, All they have to agree to is to carry on with the transaction (which was there last time I did one) and your !!!!!!ed. Mentioning boxes was a term of phrase
