    Mazda 2 - I think for a mom with two kids I would look a bit like I am trying too hard. I thought it was great but maybe for younger people

    :rotfl::rotfl:

    we just bought one in 'knock your eye out' green.

    Very pleased with it. Nippy enough round town. Cruises comfortably on the m-way. Room for four adults to sit comfortably.

    I suspect we are a bit older than you.

    Yes take a look at the other recent threads (although a bit heated at times!)

    it seems to be 20 - 22% is the discount you are looking for from the on the road price. But, as said above, the more particular on colour may not help with negotiation as it mat be full factory order. If you are not careful with that you will get the VAT increase
  • I know your fond of the fiesta but try a test drive in the A class - i have one and its lovely to drive and very comfortable especially on long journeys and there was 5 of us in it in comfort when we went to manchester and back last weekend

    .

    You're really teasing me with that colour LandyAndy....Mazda 2 is a really nice car, maybe I couldnt get past the horrible dated blue it was in....You see I only look at the colour of the car....duh:rolleyes:. I have tried digging out all fiesta related threads and couldnt find the one on price haggling....Its not quite an MSE way to go for something a little more because of the colour....Will continue shopping around, the more I see the damn colours the more I drool
  • Yes the magenta colour is nice but last time I checked it was a £575 option. Is it worth that much?!

    Its £625 now Mark plus I cant find any deals in that colour....so it seem for that me to get that colour it will cost a nice sum of around £2000...still shopping around
  • I am just starting to shop around for a fiesta zetec 1.4 tdci, the best price I have online is 11064.21 which includes metallic paint from drivethedeal.com, I e-mailed about 10 dealerships last night asking them if they can improve on it and have had 2 calls back so far one has quoted £11,800 but has pretty much said they can imrpove on that so I'm going to call in this afternoon and the other has quoted £11,995.

    That seems like a good price and it means I can really banter down the price. I notice at my local dealer if you look here http://www.haynesford.co.uk/dealer_services/special_offers/all_managers_specials_must_go/?newsId=456840 the zetec 1.4tdci is for £12 876 under the manager's special so I am thinking I should really try and bring the price down....Didnt really do it, I must say....I have to dig some threads to find out how to negotiate on price with a dealer
