Is anyone doing any of the winter clothing jobs this weekend. I've just been reading the info and can't work out if I do or don't need to make a purchase!
How does anyone else read it?
I think 30 jobs a week on top of a fulltime job is do-able.
Think of it as 4 jobs per working day (Mon-Fri we'll say) ; one in your lunch break and threee after work. That's 20 right there.
I'm sure that many of us have done 10+ jobs in a weekend, severl of us (me included) have done 10+ jobs on a Saturday.
It's possible IMO.
D0-ableyes but then there is the reports to do as well. Some of them can take 20-30 minutes to do properly so that's an extra 10-15 hours a week. I'm sure as a one-off it's possible but every week for 5 years?

I think it's possible too, particularly if you travel a wide area in your everyday work, which I think Mike does. I wouldn't want relentless evenings doing the reports though....like a bit of social and family life in between!

The most I ever did was 15 on a Saturday. It was easy as long as I kept to my tight time schedule. It is the reports that take the time, RE especially and I did start of with a breakfast at the burger joint! Also some of the jobs can be done up to 8pm : Supermarkets, petrol, chicken, burgers, drinks, meals etc.
I run my own business and very much hands on but I can still manage to fit jobs around my working day. I may be going to the bank or past a supermarket anyway!
As it is often grab and run on the jobs available and I am registered with loads of companies...I am in awe that 20/30 jobs a week are available!!!

It all depends on the type of job really doesn't it? A Gyp fuel job, less than five minuted to actually DO the visit, then about 5 minutes to do the report.
BARE Car job, at least 15 minutes for the visit, then at least 15 minutes to do the report.

Possible as a one off, or a few weeks but I know I certainly couldn't cope with that regularly, I'd be exhausted!
Ditto that, but each to their own!
Also, I guess what you class as "full time" some people clas more than 20something hours a week as full time, others class anything below 36 hours a week part time.

But if you don't have a family?
What about if you're skint so you're doing MSing to survive, you'd have no money for a social life...

Oh, I wish I could give non pc staff descriptions. The best way to differentiate between two people I'm trying to describe is that only one looked like she smoked 40 a day.

My social life is ms`ing. I never used to go out at all for meals! I started my own business and was tight on money so eating out was never in the budget!
Also during a busy week I now don`t have to cook if I get a meal job and Sunday lunch out when ever possible. I have also been able to treat the family, something I could never afford before. They have all now left home but it is nice to be able to take them and my grandchildren to a freebie lunch or day out. Therefore I suffer the reports.

Then you have the time for the reports and I would say go for it and use the assignments to help with food and entertainment. That's the beauty of the job....you can spend all your time doing it or just slot it into what suits you. I was agreeing with you that it is possible to do 20/30 jobs a week but you need the time to do the job and submit the reports. It takes a while though to reach the stage where you get offered enough. I average 60 ( some phone calls and auditing so not all MS) a month juggling 30 hours paid work and family.....I could take more assignments on and do when I want extra money for something in particular but it's not easy to push yourself to the limits and keep a cool calm head

Ooh, whereabout in Cornwall are you off to? You'll love it, it's a lovely part of the country, Devon is too.

Thanks guys, I'm off to Saltash, next to Plymouth. I grew up in Cornwall, partly in Newquay but mostly in Saltash. Going to visit my parents and sister but I also have a job interview down there on Monday morning! Not sure if it's a good move as the top of the pay scale is already £3k below what I'm on now, the bottom is a massive £10k below and the MS opportunities aren't as good as here either. There are a lot of positives though!!!!
I am not convinced about the 20-30 jobs per week on top of a full time job either.
Unless:
1) You are doing some of the jobs / reports in company time.
2) You are living in a parallel universe to me, as 20 to 30 jobs per week every week have just not been available recently, let alone do-able.
3) Rather you than me!
