The £5 is only for bounced items.
the important figure is £15 for unauthorised transaction fees (paid DD's etc)
Of course this is very welcome reduction from the previous £30 odd. but I shall reserve full judgment until I see the rest of the terms and conditions surrounding the charges.LegalBeagles0 -
I can't put up links but if you go to the BBC website and go into the Scotland section it's in there :-)0

So those charges have gone down, what charges have they increased instead?0

How do you think this will affect the claims on hold with Natwest?0

Come on you thieving gits pay up you have virtually admitted today that what you have been charging was wrong just do the right thing and give people the money back that is rightfully theirs.
I was disappointed with the repsonse in the bbc link from the oft. Get some balls and tell them they are unfair never mind "our investigation is unaffected by this announcement it should be the wake up call you need.0 -

The OFT is awaiting a legal decision so any change to the cost of the terms makes not difference to the actual term itself and its fairness.
Regardless of today's announcement, if the term is deemed unfair then it is unenforceable in its entirety, that means that even charges levied at a lower amount ARE reclaimable.0
