Hi folks, Im going to be doign a thrifty Old style programme for an ITV1's Tonight programme for mid-september (8pm between the coronation streets). We're looking to film a few old stylers doing what they do best, giving old style tips and clever ways to hardcore cut costs.

I would love regular old stylers from here to make a real impact, get your white vinegar out, make your cosmetics and prove your Britain's savviest thrift hounds.

There's a chance one may even go in with me to do a makeover on a family... but come and have a bit of fun filming and be on the telly.

If you're interested then please email katie.godfrey@ITV.com telling her you want to give some old style tips and a few details about yourself as well as a contact phone number.

Don't worry you dont need to be a TV presenter to do it - the production team will make it easy, just know your stuff and care about old style.

Martin :)

Thanks in advance

PS a few occassional bumps so no one misses this would be great (as people will be emailing rather than responding inthe forum)

Really pleased to hear that OS is getting an airing - I'm sorry I'm not up to tv, but I'll be rooting for whoever volunteers! :T

And if you are applying why not let other olde stylers here know :) and Old stylers if you think someone would be good why not pm them and give a bit of encouragement

(Ps those who did thrifty tips in IPTW are more than welcome too)

    Bumped :D

We were discussing this on the Econ Gastron thread about how we should have our own programme. Eek not brave enough to appear on national TV (and don't think I am half a thrifty as some on here). A case of be careful what you wish for ;)
