Good Afternoon,
As advertised in the Grocer magazine, Nestle Rowntree is enabling children to try out new activities during the approaching school summer holidays as well as giving parents a bit of peace and quiet with Its Kids Go Free promotion.
Kicking off a week today (so a head's up on this offer) on 26th June, the promotion gives kids of all ages the chance to take part in sessions of either swimming, tennis, dancing, bowling or martial arts at more than 1,700 venues throughout the UK. A TV and radio campaign will support the promotion.
Two tokens are required for each activity, with single bars featuring one token, hanging bags three tokens and multipacks four tokens. Products include Fruit Pastilles, Fruit Gums, Smarties, Drifter and Rolo.
I think it is a good promotion because it adds value to my kid's favourite treat, and the reward also goes towards keeping them occupied with a fun activity during their summer holiday, when "I'm bored" becomes an all too familar phrase !!
** This offer is shown on page 64 of the Grocer magazine (issue dated 17/6)
Hope this helps someone - Welshy xx

Thanks - but as usual these things are too good to be true - I live near Dover and the nearest venue is over an hour away - there is only one swimming venue in the whole of Kent! This always happens to us!!! At least we can go swimming in the sea for free and save the 40p on the sweets!!0

One of the things to bear in mind about Nestle is the way they promote their products so unethically.
Just a thought but there are thousands of children dying and falling ill in the 3rd world every single year because of Nestle and their infant feeding promotions. Every time the World Health Org find a way to stop them doing one thing, they find a legal loophole and start again - until that loopholeis closed - and then they find another.
Bear in mind that every single day, 4000 babies die from unsafe bottle feeding.
Nestle products are banned from my house.
Don't take my word for it - look at https://www.babymilkaction.org
Best wishes

Well said Beverley.
+1 on the anti-Nestle sentiment.Matched Betting and Casino Bagging Target: £3500 (Masters degree course fees)
Matched Betting and Casino Bagging Profit (started 17/01/07): £499.180 -
I also agree with Beverley and Nestle products are also banned in our house, which can be difficult with the kids at times!
I became more aware of Nestle's actions when I worked as a midwife and have not used their products for many years now!0 -
It 's wonderful that they encourage exercise after all those empty calories that we are trying to steer the young... and not so young away from.Heads up on the Nestle campaign as well, they certainly have a good advertising department.0

hear hear! i wish more people were on that particular soapbox... i'll give you a hand back up if you like0 -
Thanks a lot for that - have found bowling and martial arts near me:j
Am going to get the tokens on 26th as soon as i see them - i love fruit pastilles anyway so good excuse to buy loads;)It's not paranoia if they really are after you.0 -
I think if we looked closely at every major international company, we could find something to moan about. Was it Gap last week that were in the press for use of 11 year old Portugese kids in their factories?
I'm not excusing Nestle, Im just pointing out that if you investigate virtually every product in your house, you could probably find a worthy reason to boycott the company and its products.
Perhaps the answer is a self-sufficient 'Good Life' approach to life?!“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -
ditto - nestle is banned in my house too
hope OP doesnt feel too bashed, not a lot of people are aware of the evils of nestle...
i was so surprised to see Body Shop sell out to L'Oreal - who are owned by nestle...
