If you want to get seen at an embassy fairly quickly, look at Belfast - that's what I did. Waiting list was much shorter...I was only applying for a student work visa, though, and no criminal record to deal with. Staff were all very nice and relaxed though...not like bl**dy immigration...gggrrrr
  • according to what i did i burnt mail and shreded it but when it went to court i pleaded guilty but not so sure whetherfound me guilty on criminal damage only .so thefore is that moral turpitude.according to the webiste it isnt.also does the usa have access to our records as i am seriously thinknig about ticking no in the box as far as i a am concerned i was done for criminal damage.should i send off for my criminal record from poice to see what i was convicted off or do i need to go to magistrates court

the wait time for a student visa appointment is always considerably less than for a visitor visa

Current Belfast wait is 21 days ( 7 for student). London is 33 and 7.

Yes the US have access to our records.

Whether they have automatic access at the point of entry in fine detail is doubtful - I would think not. They would need to apply for it if you arouse their suspicions.

Shredding and burning sounds like destruction rather than damage to me.

So you are basically saying that its ok to break the law when it suits.

Breach of the Peace is NOT a crime involving moral turpitude, so he would not have been denied entry for that reason.

Is that what i said? Did i say you should break the law when it suits? Or did i suggest something which really isn't breaking any law, something which in reality carries no custodial or financial penalty?
Still, lets not let that get in the way of your accusations.

Well if found out - custody until deported, air fare home to repay to airline.

Question is what are the chances of being found out. Maybe not high, but not zero for sure.

We both know its as near to zero as can be possible.

I don't need to give the whole freedom of information speel, but basically unless your a !!!!!! or murderer the UK won't tell on you.

And for the first paragraph I can see you haven't the faintest idea what you are on about.

That does not surprise me one bit.

Even if taken at a level of perjury (lying to an official) current maximum sentence is 180 days.

Go on then Einstein, explain to me how (given the freedom of information legislation we have in the UK) the USA would even know someone once burned a letter?

    I would love to know.

Again your lack of knowledge here is showing. Data Protection Act specifically allows for this sort of data sharing. The government wrote massive excemptions for itself with regards to national security and terrorisms to permit this sort of data sharing. And yes, I've worked under both the 1984 and the 1998 act.

    That tells me nothing.

    Show me sections, subsections, anything....

But well done for working under an act. Ive lived under goodness knows how many since i was born ;)
