Do we know which bank Baroness Hale had a go at last week, because she couldn't believe they didn't know, the general public were up in arms, over bank charges.

Too long, but a little more interest on top for us.

Autumn it is then, but it looks like us customers are going to win.

Why is this news???? OFT hoped for the end of July for a decision but most of us who follow the OFT test case were not thinking July but October.
Another non story. I can help with the next one when you say that if the OFT win that there is an additional delay until the substantial issues are dealt with.

I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009

It is perfectly possible judgment could be handed down by 30 July. The Law Lords are well aware of the ''vast'' number of stayed cases awaiting guidance from the test case.

The House of Lords hearing itself was fast-tracked and I wouldn't be surprised if the judgment was too, assuming it's not referred to Europe.

does this mean that if/when the ruling is in the favour of bank charge customers a re evaluation of interest to that date will have to be made, if so how far back can one claim as the previous claim made was 6 yrs back, this has now risen to a further 2 yrs approx

Yes there is interest on the charges they took they will have to pay i think, also the money that they made from our charges might also be ordered to be shared amongst everyone too, though how they are going to sort that is another thing altogether as who can say what they made from charges alone??

I am not sure about dates , i think they will be ordered to pay the 8 years though as its not your fault they wont pay you now.
