Strange coincidence?

I just had an issue with HSBC Bank-all supposedly very urgent, then turned out to be their error.Checked out as HSBC.

Shortly after I was phoned by a man with a foreign accent who had my name ,address and ex directory phone number enquiring about our "debts".

Said they were from the "debt Advisory bureau",then changed to the "Debt advice bureau", blah blah, apparently of Leicester. They couldn't give me their address, and when I asked why not he said he would put me through to his Manager-then cut me off. There is another link here about them (can't do the link)Anyone else have connections with HSBC.I very very rarely get these type of calls and am with TPS.Also,i hardly give my number to anyone.Don't have debt problems.

Anyone else had problems or have the HSBC connection?

A similar named company is based at 43 broom knoll, east bergholt, colchester. They too don't give out their address or a phone number, two companies at that address with slightly different names, one has been dissolved.Hope this helps someone.

Found this name -Stephen Mark Rose 08700 111113 on the website-do you think this is the same company? What do you think of the site?

Thanks for posting this. I just had a call from these people, not a sales call he says, but requesting debt information to see if I "qualify" for their help. Others living here say they have been calling for a while, I think they usually speak to my dad, not me.

Whenever I get these calls, I usually have my computer or phone with me, so I ask for their website address so as to check who the domain owner is or to search for them, which is how I found this thread.

To check the owner of a website, just search for the domain name, e.g exampledebtcompanywebsite.com, at domaintools.com or who.is. If they don't have privacy on the domain, then it will show who they are including their address and contact details.

I found this time they would answer every question I had providing I gave information that they should already have from a previous call that allegedly happened.
