I know you can test an egg by putting it in water to tell if its still ok, does it float or sink if its rotten. I cant remember.

It floats when it's bad, Sarahsaver.
Although I have to say I think bad eggs are a thing of the past.... I have been baking for over 35 years and have never had a bad egg. I think they have to be seriously old or damaged to go off in a normal domestic situation.
Hope this helps0 -
nope Ive never had a bad egg either
If you dont count the 1st one I married ;D ;D0 -
Did you know if you put two cans of coke in a bucket of water, one normal and one diet, the diet will float & the normal coke will sink. ( am i sad or what )....0
-
gooway
fancy that
I wonder why that it then??0 -
its because the diet coke has more c02 (carbon dioxide) in it, i think the sweetner produces more c02 than sugar, i think thats right!Would you destroy something perfect in order to make it beautiful?0
-
well, you learn someat every day dont you
thanks ;D0 -

When you dissolve a solid (e.g. sugar) in a liquid, the volume does not increase proportionally so the solution has a greater specific gravity. That may be why the sugary may sink but the diet one may float!
Or it could just be that they put less diect coke in the same-sized can!0 -
gotta try that. sounds cool. might make the kids agree they should have the diet one (on the rare occasions i let them have any.)0

STOP
life is to short to float coke cans;D ;D ;D
