That is a very good point. However what if you have limited sellers? Then there really is no need for buyers...

Unfortunately a lot of these auction sites have neither buyers nor sellers so it is immaterial how many free listing vouchers are given out.

Personally I would not waste any more time on this site and look towards something more established instead. Ebay is the obvious one, but if not why not look at ebid?

59 items for sale, 46 from one seller, but at least its free.

Advertising campaign will be to post on forums.

Business plan: To look a lot like Ebay, categories, feedback, etc. Competing with someone does not mean copying them.

Apart from a lack of buyers and sellers what does this new site offer that is different to Ebay that would encourage users to sign up?

Ebid has been going almost as long as Ebay in the UK. Cqout is said to be the second biggest online marketplace in the UK.

Not doing well on Google either - http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&hl=en-GB&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4GPTB_en-GBGB302GB302&q=grabthatonline

But also (once again) demonstrates the power of posting links on MSE...

The 46 items are me! :) I saw that it was free listing so I took the opportunity. If they haven't sold then I haven't lost anything which is the way i see it. There is so much competition on ebay that your item doesn't always sell and you have paid £1.50 to list it. Then you have to list it again etc etc, if it doesn't sell on a couple of occasions then it starts to become expensive.

However on grabthatonline.co.uk you can re-list it as many times so you can almost forget about the listing and if it sells great but again if it doesn't at least it hasn't cost you anything.

So it's like ebid then except ebid has about a million more users? Also doesn't that sort of make it your site which means you are in breach of MSE policies by posting anyway?

CQout is also free (although I would urge people to check some of the worrying little terms before signing up).

Nah, sorry, you or the owner of the site needs to find a different angle, get yourself a niche do something different. A straight copy of existing sites is going to get you nowhere. Look for the angle that will make you unique and then relaunch properly.

How are you listing it?

Those listing upgrades are almost always useless ;)
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

I am a professional ebay seller. I work hard at my job, I love my job, if you think it's silly that's your problem not mine. :p

    Hello guys,
I did post this in the discount section but though I'd stick it here too. If you enter the voucher 'e453771eea66' when listing on grabthatonline.co.uk you get the listing free and can be used unlimited times. This code expires end of april though. Also when signing up you get £1 for future listing fees.
looks like the site is down
