Weekly Spend Challenge W/C 29th March

This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track ...

Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

Not a brilliant week last week as I spent £13.29 so am in the red. I am not too disappointed as it has been the first week in a while. I am going for £10 again this week as need to get in the habit for of it especially as I am meeting a friend for a day out/dinner in Edinburgh next weekend so need to keep cash for that. As per usually £10 will cover incidental spending that is not budgeted elsewhere.

Let me know you results and pledges and I will update the first post.

Hope you are all having a good weekend, the sun is shining here which can't be bad. Happy bugeteering all.:j

    Hello All.
Well my final total for last week was £7.45 out of my £25 budget. Great to be green again after my fail the previous week. I'm very glad Saturday is not included as have been spending today.:D Bought a lovely new pair of boots (£55- but that was half price so I've actually saved £55 really!!).

Next week I'll budget £15 please.

    Hi everyone.

    Thanks for the new thread.

I really must do better next week.

I came in under budget at £19.99. Only a penny left.

I'm going to stick with £20 for the next week, half of which will go toward petrol.

I seem to have developed a habit of spending almost every penny I allow myself, so I am adamant that I wont go about £20 each week unless absolutely necessary.

    Happy budgeting everyone!
    Looking forward to the future.
  • Hi All

  • I was very good last week (and landed at the Globe on the night they were doing a taster session for their new menu and ate for free :j ) and came in at £13.66 out of my £15. Back to £10 again this week and hoping to come in very much under as I have £36.28 in my bank account to last me until 20th April. Yes, I know, those figures don't add up. I'm trying not to think about it right now. :(

    Morning all.

I have updated the first post. Let me know if there are anymore to add.

I have my lunch with me and so will hopefully be a NSD unless I give into the temptation of a Chai Tea Latte.

    Happy Monday.

  • did really badly this week as went to a make up party of a friend who is make up artist and was selling all her unused samples she has sent to her. Got Chanel lipstick for £1.50, my eye cream for £1 when its normally £7.00. Spent £13 but must have got about £60 worth of stuff so worth it.

    My final spend was £26.

This week can I please be put down for £20.00
    Thanks
