when baking a cake, use the papers from the top of margarine tubs to help line the tins - they're already greased!
works best for loaf-type cakes where the paper will fit almost the whole bottom of the tin

Top tip - cheers - I usually wipe them over bread when I'm making a sandwich - I'm really getting too tight!!!0

Okay - another tip - when you have finished rolling out pastry, use the leftover pastry to wipe up the flour on the worksurface - makes cleaning it a whole lot easier.0

I never have left over pastry! My Mum always taught me to use every bit, normally as small biscuits sprinkled with sugar. Yum!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

use frozen fruit in muffins and cakes, works just as well as fresh and helps use the deluge of frozen fruit in the freezer. (works very well with cranberries if you can find any reduced after the christmas rush)
