HELP - Lipstick on Carpet

MATH

Jnr Math has taken the darkest reddest lipstick he can find and ground it, in numerous places, into our pale green bedroom carpet. >:(
What can I use to get it out?

I know for grease stains in carpet (& lipsticks are quite greasy) you can use talc or cornflour - you pour lots onto the stain, work it into the pile of the carpet and leave it overnight. It should soak up most of it.
hope that helps.0 -
and here was me thinking you had fell over drunk whilst wearing it. ;D
i got mine out with kitchen roll over it, then run over with a warm iron to melt it and soak it up. make sure you stay on kitchen roll though.0 -
Thanks. Will give these ideas a goLife's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0

Also works with plain brown paper ironed over instead of the kitchen rollMink0

Tried the iron trick and now ther carpet feels like something you would take hard skin off ya feet with
I think it is cos Mrs MATH is a little liberal with the hairspray and the heat of the iron re-activated all the overspray lurking in the carpet
So now we have a pale green carpet with red spots and skin exfoliating patches ;D OOOPPS :-[

Try claiming off your insurance. Blame one of the kids, just say they tried to iron the carpet ;DBulletproof0

If you still have the stain, try vinegar. It just got grease from hubby's motorbike off our cream carpet.Tried 1001 and that wouldnt shift it.
Try going over the rough area with heavy duty sandpaper, the kind that you use in belt sanders (usually dark brown, green or red)not the stuff with the loose sand. Youve probably singed it with the iron and it might just shift the singed fibres.Dont rub hard enough to take the pile off you only want to take a very little bit off the top. Could possibly use an electric shaver very lightly instead.0 -
I don't think there is any singing cos the fibres arn't curly or any different to elsewhere on the carpet, just stiff
Will give some more of the ideas a go.

Hello,
My toddler got hold of one of my red lipsticks and has trodden it into my green carpet! I have removed the residue but there is a lot of staining in little bits all over the carpet. I have tried ammonia (nail varnish remover) which got some out but not all. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?
Many thanks
