This X5 stood out as TBH it is much cheaper than any others. The listing says the seller/item is in Bristol, but it transpires that the car is in London and the seller in Spain! She says it is her car, but the number plate doesn't immediately seem to have any connection to her name, and there is a second car for sale on her ebay account with different seller contact details which she denies all knowledge of. Her account has not had much activity on it, but otherwise seems legit other than this other car she states is nothing to do with her.
When we try to click on email the seller or add to favourite sellers or safe buying tips in the upper section of this listing they are all disabled, which does not seem to be the case on other classified car listings. We are not sure this is normal or ok either.
We are interested but are bearing in mind the saying "If it seems too good to be true......". Of course, we could maybe pursue doing AA checks, credit checks etc, but we haven't the money to spare if this really is a dodgy deal.
Are any of you with more experience able to share your wisdom and tell us what you think? Advice appreciated

Oh my lord. Kepp well away!! I was after a certain car which were selling at the time for circa £18k, found one on Ebay for £4500. Emailed the guy & played along, wanted me to send him a deposit via cheque & then he said he'd unexpectedly had to leave the country but to send it anyway & he'd get in touch when he came back!! The photos were just taken from Google too.... Please don't be silly & get roped in & let them take your money, common sense comes into play on this one!0

The car will be in Spain(despite the pictures showing it posed for sale in the UK(nicked off someone else's auction), the seller will have got a new job in America, and has to sell the car at a huge loss, you'll find that shipping the car back to the UK will be included in the price, payment will be via an escrow service you might not have heard of.
Bottom line is that you will lose your money (next stop lagos) and never see the car.
