I've got fed up with giving DD cake for her packed lunch but when I put a piece of fruit in her lunchbag she never eats it and it always comes home broken and bruised so I have to throw it away.
Yesterday in Poundstretcher I noticed they have 6 mini plastic lidded containers for £1. Today I have half filled them with a tin of fruit cocktail and poured strawberry jelly on top, when they are set, hey presto, home made Fruitini The lids come off quite easily too so no struggling for her little fingers.

Don't see why not, it's only tinned fruit and jelly nothing that can go off too quickly especially in this weatherOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things

I have done this in the past. If you are that worried then freeze a bottle of water or carton of juice and pop that in the lunch box to act as a ice block. Means you get an ice cool drink very nice in the summer.

Yes it will be fine, if your worried you can buy errrm sort of ice blankets from wilko, about £2.99 for three and you put these in the frezzer. Then in the morning just pop in lunchbox.
They measure about 6" by 4"0 -
Thanks, i do worry about what to put in my DD lunchbox as it will be in her bag at school for over 4 hours before she eats it so thanks for the tips guys :T:eek:

Cheers moggins!!!!!
In the summer the jelly will *melt* (I know this because it happened with some jelly boats I made for a cricket bonanza ) so Calley's idea is a good one to bear in mind.
I've also got little clip it tubs for "desserts". Other ideas I use are:-
~ cold rice pudding in there with some tinned fruit cocktail.
~ handful of sultana's with a handful of sunflower seeds
~ any combo of dried fruit/seeds
~ custard (thick) with a spoonful of jam
~ plain yogurt with a sprinkle of dark brown sugar (this *melts* in)
~ piece of l/o HM fruit crumble/pie
~ anything else squidgy~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I bought two in Matalan yesterday (small rectangular to replace the circular one's they've used previously) they were £1 each and the clip it shut one's. They'll last for years so the £2 investment is well worth it IMHO.
