We already have a delonghi one that keeps our bedroom dry but we are still getting bad condensation in our 2nd bedroom.
What about the above? Looks very compact.
But there's also this one which is on clearance so v cheap: http://www.ebacdirect.com/product.php?productid=120

Hi
I use this model in my three bedroom house which i find to be excellent http://www.ebacdirect.com/product.php?productid=28
Also have you looked at the product selector page http://ebac.com/guide-wizard.php to help you choose the right dehumidifer for your house?0 -
We have single glazed UPVC windows in the 2nd bedroom..... I got up this morning and:

Aaaaarg!!! Even when I put our delonghi in here it makes no difference
I am afraid there is only a very expensive solution to this

Lack of ventilation is the main cause of condensation. You have the choice of stay warm or get rid of condensation. Very difficult to do both! Dehumidifier will do it if big enough. This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Condensation affects most houses and bryanb is spot on in that underventilated houses will suffer more.
But you could also consider the sources and try to reduce the amount of water vapour created or trapped in your house:- Do you use an efficient fan when cooking and does it vent externally?
- Do you have an extractor fan in your bathroom, if not, open windows for a while after baths or showers?
- Do you dry clothes in the house?, if you do the water vapour has to go somewhere. Make sure your tumble dryer vents externally.

my condensation is much worse than that, and my OH wont consider a dehumidifier.:D But I'm working on him. I have to leave old towels on windowsills to stop ir running down the wall, and the kitchen floor gets a big puddle at the back door..

Sorry to butt in
my windows are also the same even since DG was new (7-8yrs ago), it has vents which have always been left open. Bathroom window is always open when I bathe and left open for hours/overnight afterwards.
Back door(most days) and bathroom window are almost permanently open till weather gets too cold in oct-april.
I have tiny amount of mould around some windowframes, would a dehumidifier stop it all? Mould remover spray is not very efficient.
I have a small 2 bed end terrace which I don't heat too much.0 -
As mentioned the problem could be caused by poor ventilation but I have noticed that windows make a big differnce. In our house up in Derby we had old style windows, wooden frame with thin glass and the condensation in the front room was bad. We would have puddles of water on the window sill, this was greatly reduced when double glazing was installed.
Do you have an extractor fan in the bathroom? That might be something worth looking into and it's much cheaper than a dehumidifier.0 -
my windows are similar to yours Kavanne. Plus my back door is glass. I tired an extractor fan, it didnt make any difference, so I ordered a DH from amazon today. Sick of mopping up and wringing out cloths.0
