Thumbs up Delinked

It's a perfectly cromulent word.

Yes, he really embiggened his role as consumer expert by using such a cromulent word.

The made-up word "delinked" is not permitted in Scrabble. Either in the UK, or the nasty foreign US or "international" version.

So there.

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I don't write a newspaper column. Is there any hope for me?

"Peter Pan is 2. Shirley Bassey is 3. Dr Ian Paisley is 4. King Lear is 5. Why?"

"...also known as taking in the Spanish Cub Scout leader. (Cryptic) (5)"

Thanks to MSE, I've seen Citizen Kane, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Serenity for FREE!

Would it be embarrassing to say I play scrabble online as the Mrs doesn't like it?

Now I knew that you had a real competitive edge to you Martin, but I wouldn't have thought that you would go to such lengths to beat your beloved at scrabble. I think you need to apologise to her and grovel for a bit.

Making up words? Next you'll be telling us you "accidentally" knock the board over when you're losing.

I know I do!

I'll blame you, Airwolf.
I've tried to go on this thing but it doesn't give me new letters when a word is done.
I see the commands at the bottom of the board on Help, but they don't appear on mine. It's just stuck on 'seek a game'. Other person began; I've done mine and now nothing.
Lots of typos on the site, too.
Help, please?

Default Rules of the game

I thought that when there was a question of whether or not a valid word was being used one of the other players had to challenge it. Reference would then be made to the players' dictionary of choice - usually the one in the house. If the word was there it was accepted and the score given. In some groups the challenger was penalised if the word was in the dictionary, in others not.
