One of them said I could get anything, "as long as it's pink", and the other said "Mummy really likes that bath stuff in an orange bag called Mandy something".
Does this ring a bell with anyone, and do you know if Boots stock Mandy Something?
Any clues would be gratefully accepted!

Evening all,
Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this.... however, with recent talk of people having more excess stash than you can shake a stick at, I thought that the :xmassmile Elf Christmas scheme :xmassmile from postpals may be of interest.
Postpals was first mentioned on the Bootsing board a few months ago. It is a UK charity that aims to put smiles on the faces of very poorly children, by getting members of the public to send them cards, letters, and little gifts through the post.
For Christmas, they are looking for elves who will be assigned a child. You can then read that child's page and found out a bit about their hobbies and interests, as well as finding out about what illness they are suffering from and how their treatment is going. You have a budget of £15 to spend on goodies for your assigned child- this quickly adds up when you consider the RRP of most of the makeup/ toiletries etc you may have going spare. You then post this off to the child in time for Christmas.
Anyways just thought there may be a few Bootsers who have some spare goodies they may like to send to one of these children. Full details are here: http://www.postpals.co.uk/news.php
May also be useful for anyone who still has pinkies coming out of their ears and is sick of the sight of them lol- perhaps they could be put towards some nice bits and bobs for one of these children.
Postpals are also running a :rudolf:Reindeer scheme:rudolf:- if you volunteer to be a reindeer, you get assigned a young child and need to send them 9 cards during December- one from each reindeer, giving them updates about how the elves are doing and what Father Christmas is getting up to :santa2:. This sounds soooo bless! :snow_grin
Anyways, apologies as off topicjust thought some of you Bootsers might be able to make a little bit of space in your cupboards/drawers/wardrobes/underbed storage boxes/loft/other hidey holes
and put a smile on a child's face at the same time!
Thanks for reading this guys :xmassign:
Have just had a quick look and have read that they find it particulalry hard to find pals for teenage boys so will opt for a teenage boy to pal!!! Am going shopping on saturday so will see what I can get - but need help - I have 15month old girls and haven't a clue what to get teenage boys so please give me some ideas, pm me if you like instead of posting on the thread.
What a lovely idea, since having the girls it has made me realise a little bit more about what christmas is all about - not that I was selfish before but you tend to see what smacks you between the eyes instead of looking a little deeper. I am also going to do a pamper hamper for one of the oldies in the village that the church collects and distributes.0 -

Okay so having read all of todays posts about "going underground " or changing system, have decided to give my opinion as well. I think those who chose to go along the route of a private forum/facebook should be prepared that glitches will still get fixed/busted as even if regulars go private there will be plenty of newer bootsers/ who will still come here and post their good fortune, and that is as it should be.
I think you will probably find that although staff etc from boots do check this website, they probably have a team who also test out combos for glitches themselves and if they find ones that are too costly to Boots they get it fixed, this may take time and thus some may benefit and some do not.
Also bear in mind that glitches maybe being caught sooner as greater numbers are seeking ways to save money in the current economic situation, and that this then shows up on Boots automated monitoring sooner.
I am one who some on here would class as a boots lurker, but i only post on threads if i have something useful to say and would always help others. Since i have subscribed to this thread there has been about 8 glitches and only 2 of these major, i have so far only taken advantage of 1, for various reasons and perhaps the only thing required on this thread at present is more subtle glitch posting, and less over enthusiastic posting about really good glitches. I have not posted anything here to offend, merely another point of view.Just because your paranoid does not mean they are not out to get you ! :rotfl:0 -

( i thought this was a bit off actually as yesterday when I was instore someone was buying toothpaste and the SA said it is on bogof I have to tell you about the offer when it comes up on the till??..if that is the rule then surely the SA should have told me today about the 342 ?)This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M.
