Ah yes, the original version: Martin's home page: I love the tag line at the top about saving on your mobile bill.

Of course, that advice can also apply to your wallet/purse, credit cards, debit cards, store cards, and what have you

Whe I read the blog about 2,500,000 people getting the email I felt I had to pop on here to thank Martin and the team for all of the time and effort they put into MSE. Personally I have saved quite a lot of money just through using tips, vouchers, etc and learning how to get the best deal out of companies, (insurers in particular) all via this site. And I thought I was quite good at moneysaving the first place, so the mind boggles at how much people who have debt must have saved through the site!

Also huge thanks must go to the other users of the site, people who take time to post links to vouchers, glitches etc that they have found - it's enough to restore my faith in humanity! Never have I met such a kind and generous bunch of people as the MSEers (is that a word?!)
With all of the doom and gloom that's in the news at the moment it's nice to know there are people looking out for others. Thanks to you all,

Julie / kittykitten

I have to agree with Kitty. This place is brilliant, any sort of a question I have, is always answered with courtesy and good advice, and in turn I try to offer that when I post.

As with many other people, it's saved me a fortune, and is probably responsible for my nearest and dearest hating the words, "Well that's not very MSE" / "Martin Lewis reckons ..."

So thank you to Martin, the MSE team, and all you lovely folk on the boards!

I wonder how many duplicates there are getting the email, eg are dead email addresses pruned? I must have signed up 5 or 6 times over the years with various personal and work addresses!

Martin

Congratulations, you have every reason to feel proud of your site but more than that, you should feel very proud of the number of people you have helped.

I was £22K in debt when I found your site, I feared opening the mail and was totally stressed moving money around to keep my head above water. thnaks to you I now only have a mortgage and rather than pay interest I'm now earning cashback from my credit cards!

I also get cashback from buying through Quidco and earn vouchers etc doing online surveys.

You didn't just help me pay off my debts, you gave me back my sanity.

I will be eternally grateful to you and your lovely MSE team.

Thanks to this site next Tuesday I will be debtfree for the first time in 18 years, would be interesting to ask all users how much money they have saved/earned by the information gained on here, that would be one hell of a total !
thanks Martin, I know it sounds cheesy but you and this site have changed my life!

Congratulations to all the MSE team. I recommend this site to friends. It has been invaluable for me. I have reduced my grocery bills, discovered cashback sites and I am in control of my finances. It has also been useful for helping me to prepare my sons for managing their finances in the future.

As someone mentioned above, 2.5m email addresses is not the same as 2.5m people. Unless you have a way of somehow knowing that they are separate people (in which case I apologise), you're misrepresenting the site in the same way that you criticise various companies for doing with their claims.
