The Great 'Great Hunt' Hunt

Options
Hi folks, as you know each week we do a Great Hunt. Well let me be honest we've run short of ideas, so I thought I would ask what great hunts you'd like and see if we can get some good ones.

Let me explain what works well and what doesn't.

Examples of good great hunts

Disguised own brands
Lidl and Aldi
Things kids should know
How to increase your income
Cheapest & Best Sat Nav hunt

The key to all of these are they are things that you can't 'research' a standard way, they're based on opinion or wisdom and ideas. That's the real power of the Great hunt.

What works badly

Anything that is specific to locations ie where the answer is 'my local sainsbury has...' as people can't read it.

Any suggestions welcome (though please dont be offended if they dont get used ;) )

Don't know whether this would be of any use. You know when products are tried and tested, from beauty products to cameras etc. Would it be possible to post on here the best buys/tried and tested in such and such a magazine or would that not be permitted. Example, Good Housekeeping mag recommended a certain Tesco Showergel today as the best one tested out of several. If allowed, it could be broken down into Electrical goods, beauty, foods/drinks etc, so relevant items could be posted in right place instead of one big long thread of numerous different things.

  • What about "The Great Airport Parking Hunt"? We are all keen to make use of short breaks with Budget airlines, but readers' hints about parking (and preferably not a back street 10 miles away!)

Don't know if this has already been on the boards but how about a 'Saving Money When Going on Holiday' Hunt? Holidays are extremely expensive and I'm sure people would welcome collective moneysaving wisdom on this subject.

It's often said that there are lots of benefits etc that go unclaimed every year. Whether they go unclaimed due to pride or just the fact that there is so much paperwork to fill out. Perhaps, it might be useful if lesser known benefits were posted up with info on them etc and who may be entitled to them.

What about the "Great MP3 Player Hunt 2006" ?

The only threads I can find are a little old and not current any more what with pricing and technology changing so much..

Am looking for an MP3 player and it's infuriating that I can't search for a 3 letter word!!

Or even the "Great Alternative Word for a Three Letter Word Hunt" ???!!
