Parking sensor for £ 27.95!

Official Insert:

What is it?

Parking sensors are a nifty way to possibly save yourself an unfortunate accident and potentially large sums. Not everyone gets on with them but if you're someone who'd feel more comfortable with one then they can be a godsend.

What's the deal?

MoneySavers below have noted you can buy a parking sensor online from Netto from Thursday for £19.99 (Go to the Netto site and click on page 4 of the leaflet PDF on the right hand side to see details. Click on "Find your Netto" at the top of the screen to find your nearest store. Stock in stores such as Netto tends to sell out fast so go quick.

What If I don't have a Netto near me?

If you don't have a Netto near you or stock runs out then EzeeeTV has one for £21.

Of course if you spot one even cheaper click reply to let us know.

Now back to the original post......

This item has been going for ages, but I have not found it anywhere else on the site.

This is not an offer, but there does not appear an appropriate board to post it on. If there is I apologise and I am sure the powers that be will shift it!

About a year ago I bought two of these reversing sensors for my car and the wife’s from Gedan Direct. They are still working well. They are very easy to fit and make parking a synch!.

Parking sensors usually cost £100's (my local Honda dealer quoted £230), so for £27.95 they have to be a real bargain. This price includes VAT! FREE delivery! and I nearly forgot they will send you a free air freshener too!

I have parking sensors on my Yaris... and I have to say they drive me nuts! I used to live in a narrow road and reversing out there would be a constant high pitched whine because I was always close to parked cars. They can be very useful but I wish I could turn it on and off when I wanted!!!

Really easy! I have a 3 year old Astra
I have stuck the sensors to the bottom of tail lights, ran cable under the boot seal, control module/beeper is stuck to rear of back seat, power cable runs under trim through cabin to fag lighter.
Takes a bit of fiuddling to find a good route for last bit but took total of half hour if that.
These are really quite good-I was sceptical but seems to work fine on my car, make sure you check that the bumper doesn't hit anything brfore the beeps become constant and you should be fine.
    Have a look on ebay,

Buy an old car...if you hear a crunch...you've taken it too close...if you don't hear a crunch then you have some spare.
  • Even cheaper - USE YOUR MIRRORS - They come 'free' with your car

When we got our last new car we ordered front and rear parking sensors. They are fantastic and I would have them on our next car too. They are brillant when a child, aged 2 or 3, goes behind the car and your mirrors do not show them. Although we can switch ours off and on as we please.
  • Just wanted to let people know that you can also get parking sensors from Tradex Online. They are £24.99 with £5 P&P. The P&P is only £5 regardless of how many items you order.

I have a set on my wife's car and they are great, fairly easy to fit and come with the correct cutter for the holes in the bumper. Can be painted to match the car so they blend in. DIY fitting in about 2 to 3 hours.

As regards using mirrors I agree, but having said that mirrors don't pick up very low walls or small concrete posts that are in the middle of the bumper, and don't always see small children running behind your car, these things do.

These ones are a set of 4 rather than the 2 in Netto or eeZee tv, which give far more accurate sensing, they also connect to the reversing light so only come on when reverse is selected. This means that you don't tie up the accessory (Cigar) socket on your car when you want to use them.

    Happy reversing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
