Earlier this year TCM put a call out to its viewers via Yours magazine asking them to tell us about their most magical movie memories, why these films are special and remain an integral part of their lives.
The lucky winners were invited to travel to London to share their memories on camera. These short, filmed pieces will be used throughout the Movies and Memories season in September on TCM.
Highlights of Movies and Memories month include The Red Shoes on Saturday 27th September at 3pm; a true classic and possibly the best movie ever made about ballet. It also won Oscars for its art direction and score.
Make sure you also tune into TCM the following day on Sunday 28th at 3pm for Gone with the Wind. The big screen version of Margaret Mitchell’s best-selling Civil War epic which evoked plenty of memories amongst our viewers. It has dominated lists of favourite movies over the years and there can hardly be a person on the planet who doesn’t know Gable’s famous quote: “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn”.
To celebrate Movies and Memories season TCM and Yours Magazine are giving viewers the chance to win a Yours Magazine goody bag with a copy of the magazine and a selection of beauty products.
