You would need to find a UK proxy server.
    http://samair.ru/proxy/proxy-07.htm
Then set your connection to use a proxy and type in the IP adress and port number.
Might be hard to find one which works.
Also it is possible to set up a PC in the UK to act act as a proxy server.
  • How would i go about changing it?
    end the tv tax

Do not have one myself but may be worth looking into?

Proxy servers are your only other alternative .. how safe are they dunno?

There's always BBC America if all you want to watch are Top Gear, How Clean is Your House? and Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares.

Why do you want to go to another country and watch UK TV? With all due respect, you might as well stay at home.

Soak up the awful US TV; it's all part of the experience!

On firefox its' tools-options-advanced-connection, select manual and type in the numbers.

On internet explorer - tools -internet options - conection - lan settings, select proxy server and type in the numbers.

If it does not work set it back to what it was before and it will work, no need to restart
    or anything lilke that.

You can try them from here, if it does not work you won't be able to surf untill you change it back.

but how do you know that bbc i player is regiona locked though?, that mightnot be the case you may just be able to stream straight away
  • Surely you just access the BBC website from anywhere and listen away!

I listen to Radio 2 and they are always reading out emails from listeners from all around the World.

You could also access radio channels through Windows Media Player.

ohh sorry i never actually knew they was locked, i know some of the American sites are locked to us, but i would of never expected BBC to be locked but i guess they are.. why not just take an English proxy when you get to America on the the laptop? or computer? you will be using, they are quite easy to find, some can be slower than others, or get some ip blocker software, so you can change your ip to be from Englang when you are in America?!
