Is Martin playing into Energy companies hands ?

Pushing us over and over to cap , panicking people , wether he likes it or not , it is panicking people
Shouldt he be using his considerable influence and energy to be chasing ofgem to crack down on this almost criminal , in most minds , activity by the energy suppliers ?

I DO think Martin is risking his reputation *a little* on this one. The bloke is amazing and he's proved over and over how brave he is. This could be his bravest 'campaign' yet IMO. Predicting the future (unless you are Derren Brrown, of course

This is ridiculous.
Scottish power's website can't cope this morning, I can't get a quote from them at all.
And I've realised I have spent 6 hours on this so far this week, still can't decide what to do, it does seem to go against the grain to pay more for fuel, speculating that prices may rise HUGELY.
The price of oil is currently coming down. Maybe the price of electricity may level because of that?
If we all really really worked at reducing our demand for power (rather than working at fixing our price), maybe the suppliers (currently raking in profits) would drop their prices a bit?I try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.

maybe this ridicilous pricing up by one energy company then follwed by ALL the rest needs stopping and some transparancy should be bought in , its a disgrace and somehting should be done at government level

The Scottish Power capped rates have been pulled. I did a quote through their website this morning and it's not offering them anymore. Looks like we missed the boat on that one and the next one i get through on the comparison websites is British Gas and they tried to charge us £300 for 2 months gas after we had moeved into our new house last year. So they're not a company i would prefer to switch to.0
