Are you and your OH not a team? If so does it really matter who pays what as long as everything is paid and you are both pulling in the same direction i.e debt free and a happy home.
Me and my OH (who have no children and are not married) both have very different wages and debts but we tackle both together - there is no his money and my money and his bills and my debt. The money comes in and the money goes how - who contributed to what is irrelevant. So if I got more money coming in he would expect me to pay the debts as I always do.

hi again imo i racked up my debts so wouldnt expect someone else to pay for them-same goes for him
i can only work part time due to not having childcare plus i like it that i can afford to look after the family in the day then work at night
as i said all my wages go on ct or my debts- so it is all put together in a way
i can afford to pay some debt and some bills where as oh pays the rest out of his higher earnings
i does my point of view make sense, sorry im tired!
idiophreak my debts were mainly accumulated by very naively using cc's for everyday stuff, same as the overdraft, when i wasnt working
the only thing i have to show for it is a tumble dryer which incidentally is the lowest debt i have!
I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p

Hun, I have one of those, a grater that does the other and my own stockpile of random crap. I seem to have a grater obsession as when I moved I had 4 plus a set of three mini ones

Oh and Le creuset, I really hope it does last me a lifetime:o , and I keep on thinking I have no rubber gloves and I currently have about 15 pairs:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

    OH. MY. GOD

I have just realised my house moving gift to myself of a food processer is basically a glorified grater!!!!!!!

  • LOL @ the grater!

And I would hold off paying that bit extra, as long as you're not slipping then it's nice to be able to contribute. As others have said, life is there to be enjoyed as well as aiming for DF-ness!

PS Don't forget the meat thermometer!
