Mse Test Forums

Hi everyone,

For a limited time only (7:00pm until approx 12am) tonight, we will be opening the Test Forum on the new servers. It would be a great help to us if you could spend a little time on there and perform some of the usual functions: posting, searching, starting new threads, deleting posts, PMing etc.

NOTES:

1. Nothing on this server will remain when we go live.

2. New registrations will work but anyone who has registered in the last month or if you have changed your password, it will not be changed.

3. PLEASE DO NOT WRITE ABUSIVE POSTS!!!!

4. If a password prompt appears, the Test Forums are closed for testing.

5. The idea here is to stress the servers as much as possible so please be as busy as you can. The posts do not have to make sense, we just need a lot of them.

6. PLEASE DO NOT REPORT ABUSE!!!!

Thanks,

Webby

Well I posted a perfectly pointless message on the "new" Discussion time / How long before someone posts rubbish etc.

And found that it showed my very first avatar, and my post count was 140 (well, more now that I have posted) with 40 or so thanks. How come? Aren't our current data just transferred over? And why the arbitrary 140 posts?

Do we have to start to work our way to the loftiest echelons all over again?

Will life as we know it still go on after this?
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.

The test site is a backup copy of the chat forum from a few weeks ago and hence the post counts etc are what was acredited at the time the backup copy was made.

When the eventual change over takes place it will show the actual avatars, post counts etc icon7.gif

    You're a very clever bumblebee :D
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...
  • Thanks to everyone who helped out tonight.

Thanks for that webby! Really enjoyed it and got an extra 10 mins! Yippee!
    Waddle you do eh?
  • I got a wierd duplicate of my Pm,s that misbehaved badly when I tried to delete stuff that apparently wasn't there, also on one occasion when I went "advanced" I got a strange skeletal view of the past board I had viewed and not the Advanced Box I expected, apart from that it was all snappy and smart - Well Done.
The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...
